Current Aggravation
Well, I waited almost a week to read this. I was just too upset before.
I am so tired of men thinking they are God, determining salvation of people they hardly know, if at all. A few of those such men say that they don't believe that where one is baptized or who does the dunking matters, but they obviously think otherwise.
Where and by whom one is baptized does not matter. No where in the Bible says that it does. All that matters is the person believes and confesses that Christ is the Son of God, repents of their sins, and is baptized into the blood of Christ for the remission of that sin (and that to come).
As for said men, do they not believe in the Grace of God, that one gains at this baptism? Sure, you can't do anything you want, but if you strive to do right and learn from His Word.... God does not expect us to know everything when we are baptized. No one can.
I'm also tired of visiting "churches" that do not practice Bible teachings. So, I'm going to be worshipping at home with my husband.
That's how I've been lately. Frustrated. And lonely. No one my age at the church we were visiting has talked to me. And that's where I went for the two years after I moved here. At least my cat loves me. Oh yeah, and I'm sunburned, thanks to the long motorcycle ride on the 4th.
